San Diego State University, in partnership
with key community, academic, public and private-sector partners,
is engaged in several collaborative efforts including projects in
bioterrorism defense, port and border security, critical infrastructure,
information technologies and communications, and many other relevant
Homeland Security issues.
SDSU's applied research projects actively engage
public and private sector partners to test/model Homeland Security
initiatives for application in communities nationwide.
- SDSU is a partner in the Center for Commercialization
of Advanced Technology (CCAT),
an academic-industry-government partnership that provides the
key link between the generators of technology and the federal
government and commercial marketplace
- SDSU is a core partner in the San Diego Regional
Technology Partnership, which provides critical expertise for
the analysis, recommendations, and funding efforts for vital local
Homeland Security technology projects
- SDSU is an academic sponsor of The
Security Network, a public/private non-profit organization
that promotes the development of dual-use security technologies
and regional security systems
